Owen Hanks joined YuMe as its General Manager, Europe via YuMe’s acquisition of Appealing Media, a London-based company that Owen founded and was CEO of and successfully built into Europe’s largest mobile video advertising network. Owen has 20 years of senior management experience in digital media and advertising in the UK and European markets. Previously, he held senior management roles at large corporate organizations (BskyB, News Corp and BBC) and also early stage start-up businesses (Rhythm New Media and Open TV), working across all digital platforms: mobile, interactive TV, content and advertising.

Owen is married with identical twin daughters and enjoys participating in triathlons. He holds a Media and Production Degree from Farmborough College of Technology in the UK.
